Within one place, it is more acidic in the northern part of the mountains, and softer in the south.</p><p>- Juhfark is one of the oldest grape varieties in Hungary. It has not been introduced into large-scale production, but several winemakers are working to preserve this great grape variety. Its most important growing area is <a href="https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soml%C3%B3">Somló</a>, where there are also significant new plantings. Az Észak-Dunántúlon például Csopakon a leglágyabb, Badacsony és Balatonederics felé a savas jelleg erősödik és Somlón a legerősebb. Egy helyen belül a hegyek északi részén savasabb, délen lágyabb.

-  A juhfark Magyarország egyik legősibb szőlőfajtája. A nagy tömegtermelésbe nem állították be, de több borász is dolgozik azon, hogy megőrizze ezt a nagyszerű szőlőfajtát. Legfontosabb termőhelye a Somló, ahol jelentős új telepítései is vannak. Előfordul továbbá a Balatonfüred-Csopaki Borvidéken, a Mecsekalján, az Etyek-Buda körzetben, a Balaton környékén is.
